I often face such challenge in China with my work and daily life.
Wee, there is a span of big and small challenges according to different cases....ah-ha-
Like, when I have to choose between which job to take, I must decide which is the priority or, when I have to have it filmed and I get a last minute notice, 30 min before the shooting, about the theme of the show and I get on the stage with “What would I say?!”. As a result, I take the “All or Nothing” challenge and go on with some of my jokes....well, I’m kind of use to it now (Laughter)
When I look back my past, I pretty much lived my life “Ichika Bachika”.
In 1992, I begged directly to Mr. Morita to become his disciple at the studio. That was “All or Nothing”
In 2001, When I decided to move on to China was also “All or Nothing”.
Recently, I had to decide to become the regular MC of the variety show≪day day up≫ was also “All or Nothing” challenge.
In China, it is very uncommon to see an actor regularly appealing in the variety shows which is very common in Japan.
As I recall, there is almost none.....
So I think my situation and as a resource in show business in China was very rare.
For I am a foreigner which rare already....
I was probably able to adopt smoother because I was a foreigner......
I don’t hear any bashing like “Damn, this fellow show up in variety show!” kind of such....
Rather, the young audiences in hunan knows me for comedian you know!!~~ True!! They believe that I am!! What am I gonna do hah~~!
There is a time unable to decide “All or Nothing” kind of a decision, yet, unless it is a life-threatening situation, “All or Nothing / Ichika-Bachika” is quite a positive attitude. Don’t you think?
It’s a good kind of “So-What” attitude.
I’m kind of attracted to such an attitude.....Let’s live life of “All or Nothing” Alright~!
